GRAND CHEROKEE

OVER 70 AVAILABLE SAFETY & SECURITY FEATURES

AIRBAGS - FOR PROTECTION FROM ALL SIDES

With over 70 available safety and security features, the 2017 Grand Cherokee comes standard with multistage driver and front-passenger airbags and supplemental side-curtain airbags. Standard crush zones in the front of the vehicle and side guard door beams (integrated into the design) also help absorb excess energy and decrease its transfer to occupants.

PARKVIEW® REAR BACK UP CAMERA

The 2017 Jeep® Grand Cherokee features two systems that work together to help you park in a safety and comfortable way. The new ParkView® Rear Back Up Camera with the ParkSense® Front and Rear Park Assist System alerts you to possible obstacles, helping to make parking and backing out easier. The camera displays a rearview video image with dynamic distance grid lines when in reverse. During parking and other similar maneuvers, these systems help bring previously hidden front and rear objects to your attention and provides you with an audible warning that helps give you time to react.

PARALLEL AND PERPENDICULAR PARK ASSIST

Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist, now available on Jeep® Grand Cherokee makes parking that much easier. Once it identifies a parking space, the system directs the driver with audible instructions, which also appear in the Driver Information Cluster Display. The driver controls the gear position, brake and accelerator while the guidance system controls the steering wheel.

LANESENSE® LANE DEPARTURE WARNING WITH LANE KEEP ASSIST

This new features measures your position within lane boundaries. If it detects an unintentional lane drift, it will alert you and correct the vehicle back into the lane.

AVAILABLE ACCIDENT AVOIDANCE SYSTEMS

Even the most attentive drivers will appreciate these warning systems. Approach another object too rapidly and Forward Collision Warning (FCW) with Crash Mitigation alerts you with an audible and visual warning and automatically engages the brakes if a collision is imminent. The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) automatically adjusts cruising speed to maintain a preset distance between you and vehicles in front of you.

SAFE, SECURE AND IN CONTROL

A network of safety and security sensors helps maintain vehicle directional control and provide assistance automatically when they sense divergence from your intended path. Electronic Stability Control (ESC) coordinates Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM), the Antilock Brake System (ABS), and All-speed Traction Control, sending each system into action when wheel slippage is detecte.
