A new wall of sound around the city
Shoegaze is all about carving the air with a distorted guitar and then slowly adding bits and pieces to it, to make it feel like a wall of sound. Manon Meurt from the Czech Republic do just that, but the constructions they build are way more airy and permeable than what the tradition of the genre has taught us to expect. And their self-titled EP, which was officially released this year, does just that.
Members: Jirka Bendl (drums), Káťa Elznicová (vocals, guitar), Dave Tichý (synth and piano), Vojtěch Pejša (guitar)
